Terms of use
Last updated October 27, 2026
By using this website, the Haul extension, the PC helper or the Android app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Haul.
What Haul is
Haul is a free tool that uses the open-source yt-dlp and FFmpeg programs to save video and audio from links you give it. Haul doesn't host, own or check any of the media it downloads.
Your responsibility
- Only download content you own, content in the public domain, content under a license that allows it, or content you have permission to save.
- Respect copyright and the terms of the sites you download from. Some sites don't allow downloading.
- You alone are responsible for what you download and what you do with it.
Don't misuse it
- Don't use Haul to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or get around paywalls or copy protection.
- Don't overload the server, automate huge numbers of requests, or try to break into it.
- We may limit, block or stop serving anyone who misuses Haul.
No guarantee
Haul is provided "as is", without any warranty. Sites change often, so downloads may stop working at any time. We may change or stop the service whenever we need to.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage from using Haul, including lost data, files or profits.
Third-party software
Haul uses yt-dlp (Unlicense) and FFmpeg (LGPL/GPL), which have their own licenses. Haul isn't affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, Google or any site you download from.
Copyright complaints
See the copyright page.
Changes
We may update these terms. The new version is posted here with a new date. Using Haul after that means you accept it. Questions? See the contact page.
